Consultation on new CBAM regulations
1 februari 2026The Norwegian Environment Agency is submitting for consultation a draft CBAM regulation on the adjustment of carbon prices when importing goods to the EEA.
On behalf of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Norwegian Environment Agency is requesting input on the draft new regulation that will implement the EU's regulations for carbon pricing of imported goods.
The draft describes, among other things, new requirements for registration and reporting in the CBAM system, and makes it possible for a representative to perform these tasks on behalf of the importer.
In the consultation, stakeholders are invited to provide input on the regulations and the social, economic, environmental, and administrative consequences that follow.
The consultation deadline is March 27, 2026.
All interested parties are invited to submit input via the consultation portal at regjeringen.no.
